Parent & Community Alliance
Informed. Engaged. Advocating for Students.

About PCA
The Parent & Community Alliance (PCA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students, families, schools, and the broader community through education, engagement, and advocacy.
PCA was founded on the belief that informed and engaged communities strengthen public education. Parents, guardians, students, alumni, educators, and community members all have a valuable perspective to contribute, yet many lack the time or opportunity to closely follow district decisions and policies that directly impact local schools.
Our mission is to promote transparency, increase public understanding of educational issues, and create meaningful opportunities for community participation in matters affecting students and schools. Through research, outreach, collaboration, and advocacy, PCA seeks to ensure that community voices are heard and that decisions impacting public education are made with a clear understanding of their effects on students, families, and school communities.
PCA is an independent, nonpartisan organization committed to supporting strong public schools, informed decision-making, and positive outcomes for all students.
Our Goals
Inform
Knowledge empowers communities.
PCA works to help parents, guardians, students, and community members better understand the issues, policies, budgets, and decisions affecting public education. Through research, analysis, public meetings, reports, and educational resources, we strive to make complex information accessible and understandable so that community members can make informed decisions and participate meaningfully in public discourse.
Engage
Strong schools require strong community involvement.
PCA seeks to connect families, school communities, and stakeholders across the district by creating opportunities for participation, dialogue, and collaboration. We encourage involvement from every school site and welcome diverse perspectives to help identify needs, share ideas, and build a stronger voice for students and families.
Advocate
Students and families deserve representation.
PCA advocates for transparency, accountability, equitable resource allocation, and policies that support student success and well-being. By bringing together community perspectives and informed analysis, we work to ensure that the interests of students, families, and school communities are considered in decisions affecting public education.
